Main roles and responsibilities

In accordance with the strategy of the brands Millet and Lafuma, defined by the head of each brand, the Product Manager - Shoes, is responsible for his/her collections, that he/she will develop with the related designers and developers.

He/she guarantees the achievement of qualitative and quantitative objectives (the right offer, at the right cost) and, more generally, the profitability of its product line, the respect of the development schedule and the provision of samples.

He establishes his line-list by seeking to reach the best innovation / price / features / quality ratio, for each model of his ranges according to the specific directives of each brand.

In this extend, he/she leads the following missions:

Collection and analysis of market information concerning hs/her product line. Realization of a sales follow-up by zones, analysis and recommendations. Permanent watch on competitors / markets / technologies ...
Management of Shoe collections plans for the Lafuma and Millet brands in partnership with the Brand Managers of the brands concerned (Management of the line lists of its product ranges).
Elaborations of design briefs for all new projects.
Management of the progress of projects via regular points with the people involved (development, design, management ...)
Supervision of the shoe development team and close collaborations with internal and external collaborators (industrial, design, communication ...).
Establishment of technical arguments and marketing tools. Proposal of sell-in and sell-out tools in relation with the Trade Marketing Manager and the operational marketing managers.
Strong involvement in sales meetings and fairs, including presentation of ranges during sales meetings as well as to key customers.
Establishment of a real Sustainable Development strategy on his/her range of products and all actions related to sustainable development.

Candidate profile

Education: Engineer, Business School ...
Solid experience in the field of sports and footwear products specifically in R&D dept and / or Product Marketing.
Ability / vision to create a coherent commercial offer in harmony with the vision of the brand
Knowledge of the outdoor and mountain market.
Knowledge of shoe production processes.
High quality of oral and written communication.

Committed leader, with good adaptability. Very good organization / time management and calendars.
Languages:Fluent in French and English.

Position based at the head office in Annecy-le-Vieux including regular trips to the markets addressed, trade shows and suppliers (including Asian).
